TUILERIES GARDEN

The Tuileries Garden on a beautiful summer day in Paris

The Tuileries garden is a public garden located between the Louvre and the place de la concorde in the first arrondissement of Paris,France.Created by catherine de’ Medici as the garden of the Tuileries palace in 1564,it was eventually opened to the public in1667 and became a public park after the French Revolution. In the 19th and 20th centuries,it was a place where Parisians celebrated ,met ,strolled  and relaxed.

In the past ,before the Tuleries garden, there was tile factories, which lend their name to the garden.

The garden of catherine de’Medici was an enclosed space five hundred metres long and three hundred metres wide. The Tuileries garden was the largest and most beautiful garden in Paris at the time.

Really great feel after dark ,with people enjoying the wonderful cool air and celebrating in a  way that few Americans do– truely relaxing ,but without wildness or stupidity.

The many chairs today liven up the park ,freely available to walkers who like to sit there near one of the ponds during pleasand weather.Very close to the Arc de triomphe di carrousel ,we can entertain the children by renting miniature sailing boats which they can control by remote on the water of the second pond.

The Tuileries garden is one of the most visiters attraction in Paris with a large number of tourist flocking to this park every year.
