“Let’s give feast to our eyes with the beautiness of Niagara falls.”
Niagara falls is the collective name for three waterfalls namely the horseshoe falls, the American falls, the Bridal veil falls. And the first person who had witnessed the falls was father Louis Hennepin, he saw the falls during 1678 expedition. Later he wrote a book about the impression the falls had made on him. And the book was called “A New discovery.”
Some theory states that the word ‘Niagara’ came from the Iroquois word ”Onguiaahra” which means ‘the strait’. The Niagara falls is the biggest waterfalls in North America and not in the world. The first hydroelectric power plant was built on Niagara falls in 1881. Now it produces nearly 2.4 million kilowatts of power. And it is the fourth largest power plant in the United States.
You can witness the true beauty of the falls through a helicopter ride. And the moment you see the falls you can’t help but continuously seeing it’s admirable beauty. In other words, we can say that the beauty of the falls takes your breath away, the moment you lay your eyes on it. A 63 year woman named Annie Edson Taylor was the first person to plunge over the falls. But by my point of view, it’s better to avoid doing such stupid dates and only enjoy the never ending beauty of the falls.
