We all love cartoons and they made our childhood awesome and exciting. Whenever we think about cartoons, there comes a wide beautiful smile in our face. Age does not matters because even now we used to see animations. Disneyland is a place where we can see all our favourite and beloved cartoon characters. Even we can say that it is like a “heaven to most children and too it is every child’s dream to visit Disneyland.” It is a place situated in California, United States. And it consists of most number of rides.

Walt Disney is the man who built the Disneyland park. His main vision in creating the park is that he wanted family members of all ages to enjoy together. Disney World was opened on October 1, 1971. Actually it was constructed within one year. And unfortunately Walt Disney couldn’t see the opening of the park. It was originally opened with only 18 attractions. One of the attractions is the Tomorrow Land, the interesting fact is that all the plants in the Tomorrow Land are edible.

No flights are allowed to fly across 3 miles radius of Disney. The park contains more than 60 attractions which include Fantasyland, Adventure land, Frontier land, Mickey’s toontown and etc.., And the most popular attraction in Disneyland is the “Pirates of Caribbean”. Disneyland has been closed for only like 3 times in history. So I suggest that everyone should visit Disneyland which will surely reminds you of your childhood days.

THE CHOCOLATE HILLS

This place is one of the mysterious place in Asia. The Chocolate Hills, Bohol, Philippines, TEARS OF A GIANT. This is also a popular tourist attraction in Bohol. The Chocolate Hills(Cebuano: Mga Bungtod sa Tsokolate) are a geological formation in the Bohol province of the philippines. There are at least 12,60 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 sq km. They are covered in green grass that turns brown(like chocolate) during the dry season, so that is why it is called by that name”The Chocolate Hills“.

Elevation: 120m(390 ft)

Age of rock: Late Pliocene

Mountain Type: Conical Karst hill range

cc2

GEOLOGY:

They are in the Philippine Tourism Authority’s list of tourist destinations in the Philippines; they have been declared the country’s third National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE list. The hills form a rolling terrain of haycock hills-mounds of a generally conical and almost symmetrical shape. Estimated to be from 1,268 to about 1,776 individual mounds, these cone-shaped or dome shaped hills are actually made of grass-covered limestone. The domes vary in sizes from 30-50 mts high with the largest being 120 mts in height. Bohol’s “main attraction”, these unique mound-shaped hills are scattered by the hundreds throughout the towns of Carmen,Batuan and Sagbayan in Bohol. During the dry season, the grass covered hills dry up and turn chocolate brown. This transforms the area into seemingly endless rows of “chocolate kisses“.

cc1

Reason:

Three legends explain the formation of the chocolate hills. The first tells the story of two feuding giants who hurled rocks, boulders, and sand at each other. The fighting lasted for days, and exhausted two giants. They became forget to clean up the mess they had made, during the battle, hence the chocolate hills. A legend tells of a giant named Argo who was powerful and youthful. He fell love with Aloya, who was a simple mortal. Aloya’s death caused much pain and missery and he cried. His tears died, the chocolate hills. The last legend tells of a town being plagued by a giant Carabo, who ate all of their corps. Their food was spoiled and the feces then died forming the chocolate hills. -Deepika Scc3

VERKHOYANSK

This place is considered as one of the coldest place in the world. Verkhoyansk is a town in Verkhoyansky district of the Sakha Republic Russia, located on the Yana River near the Artic Circle 92 km(57 mi) from Batagay, the administrative center of the district, and 675 km(419 mi) north of Yakutsk, the capital of the republic. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,311. The town was granted town status in 1817. Between the 1860’s and 1917, the town was a place of political exile, with some of the more prominent exiles including the polish writer Waclaw Sieroszewski as well as Bolshevik and Viktor Nogi.

VV3 CLIMATE:

Verkhoyansk is a notable chiefly for its exceptionally low winter temperatures and some of the greatest temperature differences on Earth between summer and winter. Average monthly temperatures ranges from -45.4°c in January to +16.5°c in July. Mean monthly temperatures and below freezing from October through April and exceed +10°c from June through August with the interventing months of May and September constituting very short transitional seasons.

Verkhoyansk has an extreme subartic climate dominated much of the year by high pressure. This has the effect of autling off the region from warming influences in winter and together with a lack of cloud cover leads to extensive heat losses during the cooler months.

VV2

In this area, temperatures in versions consistently form in winter due to the extremely cold and dense air of the Siberian High pooling in deep hollows, so that temperatures increase rather than decrease with higher altitude. In Verkhoyansk it sometimes happens that the average minimum temperatures for January, February, and December are below -50°c. Oymyakon and Verkhoyansk are the only two permanently populated places in the word that have recorded temperatures below -60°c every day of January.

Verkhoyansk has a dry climate with little rainfall or snowfall the average annual precipitation is 180 mm. Although no month can be described as truly wet, there are strong seasonal differences in precipitation, with the summer being much wetter than the winter. Winter precipitation is extremely light, largely because of the dominance of high pressure at this time of year.-Deepika SVV4

WAVE ROCK

Wave Rock is located in Western Australia. Wave Rock is a natural rock formation that is shaped like tall breaking ocean wave. Wave Rock is a granite cliff 15 metres high and 110 metres long. It forms the north side of a solitary hill, which is known as “Hyden Rock”.

wave-rock6[6]

Wave Rock’s rounded-like shape has been caused by weathering and water erosion which has undercut the base and left a rounded overhang.

images (5)

Wave Rock is what geologists refer to as a, “flared slope”. It is argued that flared slopes are created by the concentrated chemical weathering of rock at the base of a large rock formation. This chemical weathering produces a concave upward or inward, pocket of heavily weathered, relatively loose bedrock.

The Rock is composed by grey and red granite stripes. The colours of the rock were produce by the rain, chemical deposits (carbonates and iron hydroxide) down the face, forming vertical stripes of greys, reds, and yellows.
