FLAG OF FIJI : A blue ensign with the white badge centered on the outer half of flag bearing the National coat of Arms .A vertical bicolour of light blue and white dove holding an olive branch on red shield surmounted by the crown. It was adopted on 10th Oct, 1970.
FAMOUS PLACES IN FIJI :
1. TAVARO WATERFALLS : Nature lovers , hikers can soak up in Fiji’s Bouma national park . It was established on 1990 and encompasses about 150 sq. km.of rainforest , three falls etc. The particular highlight is the Tavoro waterfalls.
2. BEQA LAGOON : It is situated about 144 sq. km. southeast of Nadi. Many species like sharks, whitetip, and blacktip reef sharks and even tiger sharks can be seen. It has more than 100 dive sites.
3. PACIFIC HARBOUR: It is the self proclaimed adventure capital of Fiji . It is a hotspot place for adrenaline sports . activities such as river rafting can be seen . It has been an attracting tourist spot for enjoying their vacation trip.
4. THE NAVUA RIVER ; It is situated at viti levu for about 65 km. It is filled with lush rainforest , waterfalls and rugged canyons . Wildlife such as fruit bats and native parrots are spotted along the way.
5. GREAT ASTROLABE REEF : It is the 4th largest barrier reef in Kadavu . Visitors come here to submerge themselves in the underwater wonderland of pinnacles and tunnels. It is really a colorful place with coral crystals .
6. SRI SIVA SUBRAMANIYA TEMPLE : It is one of the largest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere . This temple is dedicated to lord Murugan .It is constructed with the impressive Dravidian architecture.
