Paris is the capital and most populous city of France, with an area of 105 square kilometres and a population of 2,206,488. Paris is located in northern central France, in a north bending arc of the river seine whose crest includes two islands.

Paris is especially known for its museums and architectural landmarks:the Louvre was the most visited art museum in the world in 2017. A visit to the museum is particularly pleasant at night: the Louvre is less crowded and visitors can enjoy stunning night-time views of pei’s glass pyramid.
This towering monument, inaugurated by Gustave Eiffel during the world fair is a landmark site 324 metres high. It has graceful metallic structure at nightfall, it sparkles with lights to mark the change from the hour to the next.

Paris has a typical western European oceanic climate which is affected by the north Atlantic current.
The city’s top tourist attraction was the Notre Dame Cathedral, which welcomed an estimated 12,000,000 visitors in 2017.
